First Fishing Event of 08
Things were a bit boring on our first fishing trip to Stone Mountain since the fish weren't biting! However, I've included some photos of some things that made the trip enjoyable.
There are eight turtles on the log. You can't see one of them in the photo, but he's there. Later we saw ten on one log.
One lone goose egg on a dock.
Whale of a fish, huh! Then there is the old mill. This is on one of the walking trails around the mountain.
It was a beautiful day to be outside and being on the water made it better. Maybe next time we'll catch some fish bigger than bait.

Oh the turtles are so cute! When I was small I had a "red eared slider"
loved that darn turtle, but every time I picked it up it bit me! Finally gave it to my cousin, bit him too.
What a lovely turtle parade. All lined up, heads held high, and loving the day. Wonder why the goose left an egg on the dock/boardwalk. Your pictures are lovely - glad you had a day to practice fishing even if you only caught a whale. You're just warming up for the season.
I love the pictures! And the turtles - fabulous! I"m glad I was able to click and get an enlarged view.
